He has extensive experience in E-Mail and Records Management, and is a subject matter expert for information management, e-mail and records management, enterprise search, litigation support and e-discovery, enterprise network infrastructure, and business continuity planning. Mr. Kerr is a published author and frequent speaker on the subjects of e-records archiving and retention, and e-mail strategic planning and management. He holds numerous technical certifications and is an active participant in professional associations focused on information management issues. Jim is a seasoned consultant and he has spent many years on the senior leadership teams of several major law firms. He has built, managed, and restructured litigation services operations in a variety of law firms and corporations. In addition to management skills, Jim has deep technology expertise in indexing and search, database structures, document management and review systems as well as complex data analytics. He is also known for his expertise in information security, risk management, records management and information governance. Prior to joining eSentio, Jim has spent many years supporting attorneys as a consultant and a services provider. This includes his work as co-founder Discovery Systems, Inc., as Executive Director of Operations at Document Automation Corporation, and as a partner at Ibis Consulting.
